Full details about the author:
Ben Hinton resides outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with his wife, two kids, and their family dog and cat. He is passionate about teaching people about faith, the pressure to perform, and a growth mindset, which he covers in his book through themes such as progress over perfection and pivoting by putting your plans in the sand. After having sustained a brain injury as a young adult, Ben has turned his life experiences into messages of hope. He aims to reveal hope amid trial by running through adversity.
Ben spent several years as a youth basketball coach. He also has previous experience as a paraprofessional working with the autistic and life skills support. Ben has been chasing audacious running goals in the marathon distance since 2013 and hopes to qualify for the Olympics soon. Thanks be to God, Ben’s philosophy is, “Be encouraged every day and let faith grow.” At age 38, after his book, Ben still runs and has achieved running a mile in under 5 minutes.
